US Mobile Internet Hits “Critical Mass” for Marketing Efforts

Nielsen is out with some interesting stats on the US mobile Internet market. According to Nielsen, the US is the global leader (!) in mobile Internet adoption with 40 million subscribers actively using the Internet on their mobile devices. The UK, Italy, Russi and Spain round out the top five countries.
Other interesting stats include:
- 26% of users view advertising as part of their mobile internet experiences
- Yahoo! Mail is the clear leader in Internet mobile services
- Motorola RAZRs are the most popular handset for US mobile internet users
