Vodafone and Second Life

Vodafone has recently announced a new service called InsideOut which enables customers to keep their real and second lives connected through their mobile devices. Customers can use InsideOut to call or text other members “in-world” or outside of Second Life using virtual phone numbers (real phone numbers and identities are kept private). The wearable HUD (Heads Up Display) is available for registered Second Life members via a Vodafone vending machine at the InsideOut Island. The service is being offered as a beta trial until November 30, 2007.
